Resounding "no" to imperialist alliances and wars
Thousands marched under the slogan "Neither land nor water for the murderers of the people" despite the prohibitions and the effort to terrorize by the government.
Thousands expressed their opposition to imperialist wars and to the involvement of Greece, on the occasion of the visit of US President Barack Obama, and their opposition to the authoritarianism of the government, which decided to ban all demonstrations.
The massive rally was organized yesterday afternoon at Omonoia [the main square of Athens --tr] by the EEDYE,** PAME,*** trade unions, and numerous agencies of the popular movement.
Dmitri Koutsoubas [General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece]: "The KKE, the class oriented trade union movement, the entire Greek people, and peace-loving forces oppose a resounding "no" to the US, NATO, their wolf-alliances and wars.
"We denounce the government of the supposedly left of Syriza - ANEL, who tried in every way possible means to impose the silence of the grave on Athens today."
