Ukraine has filed a lawsuit against Russia in the International Court of Justice with the accusation that Russia allegedly violated the Convention on the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism and the elimination of racial discrimination, reported the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Ukraine has filed a lawsuit in the International Court of Justice in order to hold the Russian Federation responsible for acts of terrorism and racial discrimination during her illegal aggression against Ukraine", the ministry said in a statement. 

The ministry also said that Ukraine appealed to the International Court of Justice with a request for the court to take measures aimed at preventing the alleged human rights violations by the Russian Federation for the duration of the proceedings.
