The Kremlin deems “deserving of attention” reports on US attempts to wiretap Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Russian President’s Press Secretary, Dmitry Peskov, told journalists: “Together with the international community, we naturally have drawn attention to these published documents. Of course, they deserve attention and they should be read through attentively."

Peskov also said that Washington does not hide that it actively wiretaps Russian officials, such as Russian Ambassador to the US,Sergey Kislyak.

“No one is hiding this. So there’s no need to disclose WikiLeaks here, you can just guess,” Peskov added.

WikiLeaks recently published nearly 9,000 documents and files stored on the internal network of the Cyber-Intelligence Center based in the CIA headquarters in Langley. The website has announced that the first portion of published files is less than one percent of the total amount of documents.
