Syria: Army Liberates Key Strategic Towns in Hama Province - Like This Article

Units of the Syrian Army gained control of several key strategic towns, including Khattab, Al Shir, Majdal, Sobin, Zour and Rahabat Khattab, located in the northern countryside of Hama province.

The latest set of achievements comes, following violent clashes with the militants of Al Nusra Front terrorist group and its allies. Light weapons and artillery were used in the clashes, in addition to the airstrikes that resulted in destruction of the gatherings and movements of the terrorists.

Field sources confirmed that the army units managed to reopen the road that links the city of Hama with the town of Maharda as the security and the stability were restored thanks to the new military gains. 

In the northern countryside of Homs province, units of the Syrian Army repelled an attack by Al Nusra Front terrorists on the villages of Akrad Al Dasniyeh and Qani Al Asi, that was coming from the direction of Snisel Jawalk, Al Mashariyouh and Al Qudrathu. At least 10 terrorists were killed and many were left wounded, in addition to destruction of several vehicles, carrying heavy and medium machine-guns.

Since last week, Syrian military is facing an invasion by the terrorist groups onto the Hama province. So far the army’s efforts turned out to be successful.
