MOSCOW, 12 APR – RIA Novosti. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke about the details of negotiations with U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

"Negotiations were thorough and open, covered the whole range of issues that are key to our bilateral relations, cooperation in international affairs," - Lavrov said at a press conference after the meeting with President Vladimir Putin.

Lavrov said that Moscow saw the United States' readiness to support international investigation of events in Idlib.

"We see attempts to prevent our cooperation, we see attempts to escalate the confrontation. We believe that this is a short-sighted approach," - the Minister added.

According to Lavrov, "History has proven, when Moscow and Washington cooperate, not only our people benefit, but also the entire world."
