The US could not plan a strike on Syrian airbase in three days, for which it needed at least two weeks, said director of Museum of Air Defense Yuri Krutov on TV program "The Process" on channel "Zvezda" [sponsored by Russian Ministry of Defense]. He stressed that before the missile strike, serious preparatory work must be undertaken.
"In order to carry out a strike with cruise missiles, you need at least two weeks, in order to take photographs of the area, to lay 3D maps, routes and so forth, you need thorough preparation, when there was no chemical attack yet. That is this action to put pressure on Russia and China was pre-planned", - explained the expert.
The United States accused the Syrian government of using chemical weapons against civilians in Idlib and attacked the Syrian Shayrat air base. The missile strike killed 19 people, including civilians.
