North Korean Central News Agency revealed some details about Hwasong-12, a recently developed ballistic missile.
According to the news, a test launch of Hwasong-12, an intermediate-range tactical ballistic missile, was successfully completed on Sunday.
The purpose of the test was to ensure that the missile can carry larger quantities of warheads.
The launch was carried out among the strict security measures in order not to threaten national security of the neighbouring states.
The missile reportedly set off at a distance of 787 kilometers and managed to reach an altitude of 2111,5 kilometers. It flew for about 30 minutes before landing in the Sea of Japan.
The entire launch process of a recently developed intermediate-range strategic missile was supervised by North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong Un.
