Russia will hold a summit with representatives of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, revealed Mikhail Bogdanov, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, on Friday.
The summit, whose date has not been confirmed yet, will allegedly take place before the end of the year.
“Our ties to the Gulf Cooperation Council states are highly important for us, which is why we want to focus on signing new agreements and contracts not only on a bilateral level, but also on a multilateral level”,Bogdanov was heard saying.
He also said that closer cooperation with GCC states would help end the war in Syria quicker, adding that Russia supports any efforts that would bring peace to the embattled state.
