Forces of the Iraqi Army and the Popular Mobilization Units announced liberation of Ayadieh, a small area located northeast of the recently liberated city of Tal Afar.
According to media reports, ISIS terrorists who were killed in clashes or managed to flee the area, were mostly foreigners, a significant number of them Turkish nationals, as was evident from documents discovered at the scene.
Video footage was also obtained, showing how the terrorist group used gas containers to manufacture IEDs.
In addition, 16th Division of the Iraqi Army also liberated the village of Kharaj Al Ashak, located southwest of Ayadieh.
West of Ayadieh, the 15th Iraqi Infantry Division liberated the villages of Abrahim, Tal Wachi, Tal Miram and Tal Matar.
Latest achievements come a day after Iraqi forces liberated the city of Tal Afar, the last remaining major ISIS stronghold in Iraq, following an 8 days-long intense battle with ISIS terrorists.
