During an operation at the outskirts of the city, security forces managed to kill two terrorists and injure two others, while they were on the run from authorities.
According to security sources from the province of Hama, a counter-terrorism operation was carried out on Sunday, following a brief monitoring of a suspected terrorist cell, during which two terrorists were killed and another two were left wounded.
The sources added the operation is not yet over as the authorities are on a lookout for possible remains of the cell.
On July 17th, the authorities arrested three terrorists who wanted to become suicide bombers near the 40th roundabout in Hama.
