Russia and the United States are not suspending dialogue despite the hostile on situation near Deir Ezzor in Syria's east, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters on Wednesday.
"Our contacts are not suspended," the diplomat said.
This comes as the US-backed and Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces SDF continually make allegations, that are always denied by Russia, that the Russian Air Force are targeting their positions as they attempt to capture more territory from ISIS.
"A whole number of circumstances that the Defense Ministry cited regarding the areas where the militants are active and the location of the US special ops and US military advisers … these aspects still remain without any answer," Ryabkov said.
"We have not received any clarifications why the situation was like this," he added.
Last week Russia warned the SDF that they would take actions against the militia group if they targeted members of the Russian or Syrian military.
