Times we laughed at the US State Department, chapter three - Like This Article

September 6, 2017 - Fort Russ News -

- An incomplete compilation type of op-ed by Tom Winter -
Note: though laughter is in the title, it hurts to laugh sometimes, but here we go...

Item: Not a word about US support for the famine caused by the US-Saudi war on Yemen. Hypocrisy much?

Item: Ghouta gas attack by Assad still treated as fact. It is useful, but the UN investigation, even using evidence provided by the US, Britain, and France, determined otherwise. And by the way, this news reached the Australian press, but not elsewhere in the "International Community."

Item: Are UN resolutions "International Law"? 'Will Iran ever follow International Law?' Will the US? As if a US Congressional AUMF from the past over-rode whatever International Law is...

Item:        And, to top off this edition, the newest recrudescence of the old "We don't want to fight, but by jingo!"
Ironically, the very origin of the term "jingoism" starts with expressing a disinclination to resorting to war.
