Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping did not discuss the North Korea issue during their telephone conversation on Thursday when quizzed about this topic by reporters.
Rather the two leaders agreed to hold a personal meeting at the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) to be held in November at Vietnam’s Da Nang.
Putin then congratulated the Chinese leader on being reelected as Secretary General of the Chinese Communist Party.
According to the Kremlin sources, Russia and China have agreed to continue boosting relations that have reached "an unprecedented high."
