Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission (EC), noted the importance of Russia for the security of Europe.
As RIA Novosti reports , the head of the EC announced this at the Institute of Political Sciences of Strasbourg.
Juncker believes that, despite considerable disagreements with the Russian Federation, it would be wrong to talk about the political architecture in Europe "without a multifaceted Russian contribution."
He stressed that he stands for a multipolar international community, and not for the unilateral dictate of a single powerful state.
