Syrian Army and its allies have made series of new military gains on Sunday.
According to the field reports, army units established control over the town of Maratt Al Fouqa, located east of the Euphrates River and completely encircled the remaining ISIS terrorists in their capital in the town of Mayadeen, located east of Deir Ez Zour.
The Army also established control over most areas in Al Hattla Al Tahtani village and continued to advance further towards the area of Al Siayasia Bridge in the eastern side of the Euphrates River, following fierce clashes with ISIS terrorists, during which, scores of them were left dead or injured.
In addition, Syrian Air Force and artillery units destroyed a number of ISIS positions in the town of Al Mohassan, the villages of Al Jneiniyeh, Al Husseiniyeh, Al Hossan, Al Bouleil, Albou Omar, Hweijet Saker, and in the neighborhoods of Al Rashidiyeh, Al Hweiqa, Al Hamidiyeh, Al Aridi,Al Arfi, and Al Ummal, Al Sheikh Yassin, Kannamat, and Khassarat in Deir Ez Zour city.
A military source said the army units also expanded their control in the surrounding areas Mayadeen, namely after they established control over Al Mattar Al Mahjour and Makef Al Ghanam areas, the Industrial areas located west of Mayadeen.
Dozens of the terrorists, most of them suicide bombers, were killed, in addition to destruction of a number of their booby-trapped vehicles.
Meanwhile, local sources pointed out to the mass escape of the top ISIS leaders, including Hassan Al Urwa, Rayyas Al Fardan and Abdul Karim Abdul Hamid Assaf.
