“This of vourse requires properly-qualified cadres who will be able to teach the Russian language with high-level proficiency”, Naddaf said.
For her part, the head of the Russian language center, Svetlana Rodygina, explained that one of the reasons for establishing a new center was an increased demand of learning the Russian language among the Syrians, meaning a highly skilled cadre is required for proper teaching.
She noted that center will offer the process of learning the Russian language through coordinated cooperation between the Syrian and Russian universities, particularly Synergy University (Moscow University for Industry and Finance) which will also provide all relevant books and references to the Russian Language Department at Damascus University.
