A spokesman for the so-called international “anti-ISIS”, Ryan Dillon, said that the number of terrorists left in their former de-facto capital of Raqqah is estimated to be between 300 and 400.
Dillon said that thanks to the advancements made in cooperation with the units of the US-backed and Kurdish-led so-called “Syrian Democratic Forces”, about 85% of the city has been retrieved from ISIS since June.
According to Dillon, the remaining elements of ISIS control only a few neighborhoods in the city, totaling in about 1.5 square kilometers.
Meanwhile, the US Department of Defense said the US-led coalition spent 14.3 billion Dollars during the period of the beginning of their anti-ISIS operations in Iraq and Syria on August 8th 2014 and June 2017.
