A new commander has been named for the upcoming operation against jihadist-held northwest Syria.
Major General Mohamed Kaddour was appointed Commander of Military Campaign Towards Idlib and Abu Duhur Airbase from Aleppo countryside.
He's also the Ex Commander of all Syrian Army troops in the Aleppo region in 2013.
He is also the Ex 17th Division Commander in Deir Ezzor and closely worked with the late Brigadier General Issam Zahreddine.
