Female Syrian police officers have undergone a weapons training course.
The training took place on the Mediterranean coastal city of Tartous that has been largely unaffected by the war that has been ongoing since 2011.
Women have played a critical role in the Syrian war by taking up positions in the police force, the military or self-defense militias.
They have played a crucial role in the Battle for Aleppo that concluded in December 2016 and in defending Deir Ezzor when it was under siege for years by ISIS terrorists.
