A large-scale military operation against ISIS and other terrorist groups is currently ongoing in several Syrian provinces.
In the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour, Syrian Air Force carried out multiple strikes on Sunday against ISIS positions in the villages of Al Boulil and the town of Al Muhassan, located in the eastern countryside of the province.
During the strikes, scores of the terrorists were killed, in addition to destruction of a number of their machine gun-equipped and armored vehicles, as well various types of machine guns, positions, fortifications and mortar launchers.
In the province of Hama, the Army heavily pounded positions and fortifications of ISIS terrorists in the besieged pocket area of the town of Salamiyeh, located in the eastern countryside of the province.
According to military sources, the strikes targeted gatherings and supply routes of ISIS terrorists in the villages of Akash, Abu Hanaya, Rasem Al Abed, and to the southeast of the town of Uqayribat, the former provincial ISIS hub.
The precise strikes hit all of their targets successfully, thus inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists in terms of personnel and equipment, as several of their armored vehicles, cars equipped with machineguns and mortar launchers, were destroyed.
Syrian Air Force also intensified its strikes on ISIS positions and their supply routes east of the town of Sukhneh, the former ISIS hub in Palmyra countryside.
The strikes resulted in the killing and injuring of a great number of the terrorists, as well as in destruction of their weapons, artillery, and vehicles.
