The Syrian Forces have made new advancements in and around the de-facto ISIS capital of Mayadeen in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour province.
According to the field reports, army units carried out series of intense raids against ISIS hideouts in Mayadeen, taking control of the village of Al Tibeh which is adjacent to the city.
They also established control over new areas in Mayadeen, namely Al Baloum neighborhood, the industrial area and Al Madajin.
Later, fierce clashes broke out between the Syrian Army and ISIS terrorists in direction of Khasham-Hatla, located east of the Euphrates River and in the neighbourhoods of Al Orfi and Al Sinaa in Deir Ez Zour city, during which, scores of the terrorists were killed.
In addition, the Syrian Air Force and artillery units destroyed several fortified positions and vehicles of ISIS terrorists in the towns of Mohassan and Mayadeen, the villages of Buqrus, Al Jneiniyeh, Al Husseiniyeh, Hatla, Saalou, Zeban, Hawaej Zeban, Al Boleil, Al Salehiya and the neighborhoods of Kannamat, Al Hamidiyeh, Al Sheikh Yaseen, Khassarat and Al Aridi in Deir Ez Zour city.
Meanwhile, local sources from the southeastern countryside of the province reported that ISIS terrorists decapitated three civilians near Al Intilaq roundabout, located in the town of Abu Kamal, only a day after another civilian was killed and his body publicly hung at Al Hissan village’s roundabout in the northwestern countryside of Deir Ez Zour.
