Alexander Zakharchenko set out conditions for the reentry of Donbass to Ukraine.
The head of the Donetsk People's Republic Alexander Zakharchenko named two scenarios for the return of Donbass to Ukraine. According to him, either Kiev will have to kill 1.5 million residents of the region who disagree with the actions of the current regime, or the authorities in the country must radically change their behavior, TsarGrad reports.
Zakharchenko noted that given the current leadership he does not see any prospects for the Donbass coming back to the jurisdiction of Ukraine. The only option in which this is possible is if Kiev kills all dissenters.
"I do not even see any prerequisites -- only, of course, if you kill a million and a half people who are categorically against it," the head of the DPR said in an interview with the portal Ukraina.ru.
He added that the region might consider returning to the Ukrainian state if serious changes take place in the government. Zakharchenko noted that changes would have to happen as much politically and diplomatically, as militarily.
Recall that today in Ukraine the law came into force that extends the special status of the Donbass for another year. Earlier, Zakharchenko said that the Donetsk People's Republic will not be affected by Kiev's decision on the special status of the Donbass.
