Three members of the Kurdish militia force known as the Peshmerga have been arrested by Iraqi authorities.
They were arrested after impersonating being members of the predominately Shi'ite militia coalition known as the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).
The PMU were established after a fatwa was issued that able-bodied men mobilize to fight and defeat ISIS.
The Kurdish fighters who impersonated being members of the PMU were caught burning and looting civilian homes in Kirkuk which was in recent days purged of occupying Peshmerga forces.
