DAMASCUS, Syria. Units of the Syrian Army made new progress against the terrorists in Hama province on Monday.
According to the field reports, the Army retrieved the village of Abu Al Gheir, located in the northeastern countryside of Hama province and 90km northeast of the provincial capital, following series of confrontations with Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham (Al Nusra Front) terrorists and their allies.
Scores of the terrorists were killed once their hotbeds were stormed. Some, however, managed to flee, leaving the corpses of their dead comrades, as well as their weapons, ammunition and equipment, behind.
Army units then began chasing the terrorists who started running towards the surroundings of the village, while engineering units started to dismantle land mines and explosive devices left over by terrorists in the village.
In the area of Al Rahajan in the eastern countryside of the province, army units made new progress after they killed a whole bunch of Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham (Al Nusra Front) terrorists.
Later, Syrian Army and their NDF allies also regained the village of Douma, located in the eastern countryside of Hama province.
