DEIR EZZOR, Syria - After some expected initial skirmishes with ISIS, the Syrian and allied commanders ordered a strategic withdraw from the city in what appears to be a lure tactic, placing the ISIS groupment into a predicable and limited position, where they were just previously and successfully defeated just days ago on November 8th, as reported by FRN yesterday.
However, a military source has revealed that the Syrian Army and their allies launched a fresh assault on ISIS defenses in occupied Albukamal today, according to Al-Masdar News.
The same report also revealed that attack helicopters led the charge against the terrorist organisation, leading to the death of ISIS commanders Hani Al-Thalji, Abu Munzer Al-Shishani (Chechen national) and Abu Mohammad Al-Safi.
It is a common tactic of the Syrian Army to rapidly withdraw from a position and launch a powerful counterattack that results in the death of huge numbers of terrorists.
