The severance of diplomatic relations with Russia will be the inevitable consequence of the adoption of the Law on the Reintegration of Donbass, specifying Russia as an aggressor country. The law will allow for the president to utilise the military within the country, without agreement from the quorum in parliament.
This was announced today in air of the Ukrainian TV channel "112" by the People's Deputy of Ukraine, from Bloc Poroshenko, Ivan Vinnik.
"If we recognize Russia as an aggressor country, this Thursday, the executive will have no alternative but to sever diplomatic relations. There is not a single case in the world where good-neighborly relations in the form of diplomatic relations continue, when aggression is being carried out, and in fact, an entire war against a country," Vinnik said.
Consequences of breaking diplomatic relations are being considered by the relevant committee of the Ukrainian parliament.
"It will not affect the citizens of Ukraine in any way. The attitude towards them in the Russian Federation is now extremely negative. Therefore, we can say that the Russian Federation is an aggressor against Ukraine, not only in the military, but also in the diplomatic sense," Vinnik said.
