MINSK, Belarus.
Belarus is "head to head" with NATO at their borders, President Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting with Kaliningrad Region Governor, Russia's Western-most region, Anton Alikhanov.
He called it "a mirror image of the border with Kaliningrad."
"I can't say they like us very much at all - not you, and not us, Russia and Belarus," Lukashenko added.
The Belarusian president also expressed hope that relations between Moscow and Minsk will improve.
"We are not a foreign people, we have one fatherland, we do not divide Russia and Belarus because of borders, we are trying to build something common - we call it a Union State," he said.
The head of state stressed that the citizens of the two countries have no one else to count on, except each other, and assured that Russia can always rely on Belarus.
Alikhanov in return thanked the President for the reception and noted that the fraternal relationship between Russia and Belarus.
