Indian Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Anant Geete reassured his country’s support for Syria and its efforts in the reconstruction process in all fields.
The Indian Minister met Syria’s Ambassador Riad Abbas in New Delhi, India. The latter expressed Syria’s commitment to provide all necessary requirements that would help to begin the Indian investment projects in the country.
The Syrian Ambassador thanked the Indian government for its continued support for Syria at international forums and its efforts aimed at boosting cooperation between the 2 countries in various fields.
He also called for restarting the Indian projects that were halted in 2011 due to the situation in Syria, particularly the Tishreen power station project.
