Pro-Syrian activists have disrupted a concert, dedicated to the so-called White Helmets, a controversial self-proclaimed "Syrian civil defense" group, known for its ties to the terrorists, operating in Syria.
The event, which was promoting the work of White Helmets, took place in New York’s Grand Central Station in Manhattan on Friday.
As soon as the orchestra and the choir (some of whose members were wearing White Helmets badgets) started to perform Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, at least a dozen of pro-Syrian activists appeared at the scene.
The activists, associated with the Hands Off Syria movement, pointed at hypocrisy of organizers of the concerts, who, despite claiming to be anti-war, have actually staged an event dedicated to a controversial group, known for its ties to the terrorist groups that are attacking the civilians in Aleppo.
Many of the activists are said to have lost jobs or had trouble in their private life due to their pro-Syria activism, despite the constitutionally-granted freedom of expression that was supposed to be respected in the US.
Dozens of reports were made about the White Helmets actually being a humanitarian guise for Al Qaeda, Al Nusra, Ahrar Al Sham and other terrorists groups operating in Syria. Some of the White Helmets people were seen standing next to the jihadists in Aleppo, others were caught sharing the violent graphic material (and praising its content) depicting decapitations of the Syrian soldiers by ISIS and the related terrorist groups. A father of a child who died in Aleppo last year said his daughter was deliberatelly injected with the poisonous vaccine by one of the doctors, belonging to the so-called "White Helmets".
The White Helmets are also enjoying an overwhelming support in western political circles and the corporate media. On Monday, A movie, direct by Orlando von Einsiedel and produced by Netflix won an Oscar award for best documentary feature.
