HUDAYDA, Yemen - Hudayda port officials commented on the Saudi-led coalition's blockade of the facility on Tuesday amid UN warnings of a growing humanitarian crisis in Yemen as a result of the restrictions.

The Vice President of the Red Sea Ports Directorate, Yahia Sharaf, dismissed reports that some aid had made its way into the port.

"What news agencies report is not true, they say that the [perpetrators of] aggression and the enemy coalition allowed the ships to enter," he said.

"The dock is empty as you can see, if the [perpetrators of] aggression allowed the ships to enter they would have been here at the pier," he explained.

Hudayda port serves as the only operational port for the portions of Yemen controlled by the Houthi-led Ansarullah Movement.

The Ansarullah Movement have been resisting Saudi aggression and its proxies in Yemen since March 2015.

The Saudi-led coalition have caused countless humanitian atrocities in Yemen, including the targeting of hospitals, schools and weddings with its airstrikes, and cause a food shortage and mass cholera outbreak.
