Syrian Minister of Endowments, Mouhammad Abdoul-Sattar Al-Sayyed, yesterday received a delegation from the Damascus-based Russian University. Among the delegates were Irina Karayeva, head of the Russian University and a number of professors.Albert Krganov, the Mufti of Moscow, also attended the meeting as a special guest.
The meeting was mainly focused on the necessity of fighting terrorism and taking necessary measures in order to prevent the young people becoming influenced with extremist ideas.
Scientific cooperation between the countries was also discussed.
While meeting with the postgraduates of the Damascus-based Russian University, Minister of Endowments presented a review of the situation in Syria and highlighted the importance of counter-terrorism efforts and rational thinking while facing the extremist and terrorist mentality.
