The Syrian city of Homs and the British city of Manchester are both mourning the victims of terror attacks.

On Monday evening, at least 22 people were killed and 59 were left injured after a terrorist blew himself up at Manchester Arena.

According to the chief constable of Greater Manchester police, the perpetrator acted alone and detonated an improvised explosive device that killed 22 people, children among them, during the concert of famous pop star Ariana Grande.

Terrorist group ISIS has since claimed responsibility for the attack.

Since August 2014, UK has raised the level of terror threat tot he second highest one.

On March 22nd 2017, a local terrorist opened fire in Westminster and killed 6 people, leaving some 50 others injured.

Meanwhile, the Syrian city of Homs has once again been targeted by terrorists.

On Tuesday morning, four people were killed and 30 others were left injured after 2 terrorists detonated a booby-trapped pick-up truck near the main electricity station in Al Zahraa neighborhood in Homs.

According to the field reports, two terrorists detonated a booby-trapped pick-up truck in front of an electricity station. Aside from human casualties, material damage was also caused.

The number of casualties could have been much higher, hadn’t security forces noticed a suspicious a car and opened fire.

The car was heading towards the heavily populated areas of Al Ahli Hospital and the main square, but was intercepted by fire of security forces what ultimately prompted both suicide bombers inside the car to trigger the explosives right as they were passing next to the electricity station.

The attack comes a day after the city of Homs was declared as being completely free of terrorists, following departure of the last few terrorists remaining inside Al Waar district.

In the past, the district of Zahraa has often been targeted by terrorists, with hundreds of people being killed in suicide blasts over the past few years.
