Ali Ghanem, Syrian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, met with Jawad Turk Abadi, the Iranian Ambassador to Syria, on Sunday.
The two men discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between the countries, mainly as regards the field of oil, gas and mineral resources.
Minister Ghanem expressed the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the countries and called on Iranian companies to launch projects in Syria that would be beneficial for both countries.
For his part, the Iranian ambassador Abadi, said the Iranian companies have necessary qualifications and sufficient technical expertise to launch projects in the field which was being discussed, adding his country will continue to support Syria and its fight against international terrorism.
