Syrian military sources said the Syrian army continues its progress in the eastern countryside of Homs province.

After tightening the grip around the villages of Al Tudmouriyeh and Alkhalilyeh and Al Shomariyeh mountain range yesterday (all of which have since fallen under complete control of the army), even more progress was made in that area on Thursday, following violent confrontations with ISIS terrorists. The Syrian Army managed to extend its control over several hills in the vicinity.

Meanwhile, last batch of jihadists and their family members has left Al Waar, the problematic district of the central Syrian city of Homs and the last one to have, until recently, remained under control of terrorist groups.

Earlier on Thursday, about 2000 people have left Al Waar for Jarablus, a town located in the northern countryside of Aleppo, which is under control of the Erdogan regime-backed terrorist groups.

This also concludes the final act of realization of the negotiations deal between the Syrian government and armed terrorist groups and which was brokered by Qatar, Iran and Russia back in March 2017.

Al Waar district is now under complete control of authorities and maintenance work is underway.
