After eliminating more than 3000 ISIS terrorists, top emirs and a Minister of War among them, Syrian Forces continue their anti-ISIS offensive in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province.
According to the field reports, army units repelled an attack by ISIS on several military checkpoints in Tel Maragha area which is located in the midst of strategic road, linking the towns of Athriya and Khanasser.
The several hours lasting violent clashes erupted after some of the ISIS terrorists managed to reach the vicinity of military checkpoints in Tel Maragha area.
The clashes ended with devastating results for ISIS, as scores of the terrorists were killed by the Syrian Army.
Army units also destroyed their equipment and dismantled a booby-trapped vehicle.
It is noteworthy that ISIS is trying to gain control over Tel Maragha area, located in the midst of the road that links Athriya with Khannaser, as that would allow it to cut off the road access between Homs and Aleppo.
