PR office of the Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) confirmed its forces fired 6 medium-range surface-to-Surface missiles at ISIS positions on Deir Ez Zour.
According to the statement of the IRGC, the missiles were launched from the sites in western Iranian provinces of Kermanshah and Kordestan and targeted ISIS headquarters in the eastern Syrian province of Deir Ez Zour.
IRGC said all 6 missiles were successfully launched and dealt an enormous damage to ISIS terrorists in terms of personnel, equipment and weapons.
The latest counter-terrorist effort comes as an act of revenge for the victims of two terror attacks that devastated Tehran on the 7th of June and claimed the lives of at least 18 people and claimed some 50 others injured.
Responsibility for the attacks that targeted the building of Iranian parliament and the shrine of Imam Khomeini was later claimed by the terrorist group ISIS.
