Syrian and Russian Air Force have been heavily pounding ISIS terrorists since early morning all over Syria.
Supporting the ground units, Syrian and Russian Air Force launched series of intense strikes, targeting ISIS compounds and fortifications in the southeastern countryside of Damascus province, inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in terms of personnel and equipment.
The success of the strikes allowed the ground units of the Syrian Army, operating in the southeastern countryside of Damascus province, to take control over several border posts, located alongside the Jordanian border.
In addition, Syrian and Russian jets heavily pounded ISIS positions in the town of Ma’adan, located about 70 km southeast of Raqqah, resulting in destruction of a number of ISIS mechanisms and hideots, as well as the elimination of scores of the terrorists.
Since imposing control on the town of Sukhneh, the last remaining ISIS stronghold east of Palmyra earlier in the month, units of the Syrian Army made significant progress in pursuing the remnants of ISIS in the region.
The Army managed to proceed 30 km further east of Sukhneh, amid its attempts to completely lift the siege of the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour.
In a related context, the Syrian and Russian Air Force carried out series of strikes against gatherings and hubs of ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Hama province.
According to military sources, Syrian and Russian Air Force launched intense strikes against gathering, headquarters and supply routes of ISIS terrorists in the villages of Akash, Oum Miel, Abu Jubailat, Al Qustal Al Shamali, Al Qustal Al Janoubi, Al Qustal Al Wastani, and in the town of Uqayribat, located in the eastern countryside of Hama province.
The sources added that the air strikes resulted in destruction of several vehicles, belonging to the terrorists, and various mechanisms, some of which were equipped with heavy machine guns, in addition to annihilation of a large number of ISIS terrorists.
