After information from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on preferential treatment for DPR and LPR residents in the territory of the Russian Federation was published, dozens of letters from different cities came in the mail of the Institute of CIS countries, with reports of continuing refusals to extend migration to residents of Donbass. Konstantin Zatulin commented on this situation in an interview. Zatulin is an MP, and is director of the Institute of CIS countries.

"Of course, I do not exclude the chance that the instructions from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on migration issues did not reach the immigation agents, or were misinterpreted by them.

It may very well be that we are dealing with traditional sabotage or local influences for the worst representatives of our bureaucracy - the unwillingness to continue to face bothersome petitioners. Some officials, it seems, seem to be able to push off our compatriots indefinitely, or even worse, push them to leave Russia. I am personally ashamed of such representatives of the government - they undermine the belief in justice in Russia by the large mass of our compatriots," Zatulin said.

The deputy warned that "the spontaneous holidays of officials in the localities from familiarizing themselves with the foreign policy course of President V.Putin, the initiatives of the State Duma, and the orders of his own leadership are coming to an end!."

"If the esteemed gentlemen continue to mock people, we in the State Duma will regard this as a manifestation of an interest in corruption. Personally, I intend to continue to address to each such fact with Duma requests to the Prosecutor General's Office and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. I will try to ensure that the perpetrators get convicted of service mismatch, punished, and dismissed," Zatulin said.
