The Russian Defense Ministry said that at least 87,4% of the Syrian territory controlled by ISIS terrorists has been liberated since the beginning Russia‘s intervention in the fight against terrorism in the war-torn country back in September 2015.
According to the statement, issued by the Ministry, the Russian Air Force has conducted more than 30,000 strikes so far, resulting in destruction of more than 96,828 terrorist targets.
Out of those, 8,332 were command centers, 17194 fortified locations, at least 53,700 of them gatherings of terrorists, 970 training camps, 6,769 ammunition stockpiles and military equipment depots, 212 oil fields, and 184 oil plants and refineries, in addition to 9,328 other targeted locations.
In the meantime, the Russian Air Force continues to assist the Syrian Army in the province of Deir Ez Zour.
