Iraqi forces liberate Anah district from ISIS in its drive to reach the Syrian border - Like This Article

September 21, 2017 - Fort Russ News - Paul Antonopoulos

Iraqi forces have just liberated the Anah district in Iraq's Anbar province from ISIS.

It has been reported that the operation to liberate Anah town took under an hour, demonstrating the collapse of ISIS in the district.

The terrorist group captured the region in the middle of 2014 and has been considered a stronghold for the terrorist group.

This is part of an effort for for Iraqi forces to reach the ISIS-held city of al-Qa'im on the Syrian border.

Al-Qa'im is the real prize for Iraqi forces in Anbar province as its liberation will cut a major route for ISIS to reach its territories of control in Syria.

This is part of a collective effort to completely destroy the terrorist organization in both Syria and Iraq.
