President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko insists on the deployment of UN peacekeepers in Donbass with a view of "clearing" the territory of the self proclaimed People's Republics. This was stated today by the head of the delegation of the People's Democratic Republic of Donetsk at the Minsk talks, the chairman of the People's Council, Denis Pushilin, commenting on the September 20 speech of the leader of Ukraine at the UN.

"The president, the day before refusing the UN contingent, called to help the political settlement of the conflict, suddenly became the "president of the world." Now he insists on the introduction of peacekeepers into the territory of Donbass to restore "justice and sovereignty of Ukraine," and in fact, to "clean up" the territory of the Republic with the efforts of blue helmets." - Pushilin said.

He added that against the backdrop of the incessant aggression of the Ukrainian army in the region, Poroshenko's words about the victims among civilians "sound particularly cynical."

"Alas, the position of the Ukrainian government has long caused no doubts, no surprises. But no contingent can substitute for a political settlement, and that is why we place our hopes on the world community and remain committed to the peaceful development of events." - summed up the speaker of the parliament of the DPR.
