Syrian Army and its allies are preparing themselves to retake the town of Mayadeen, the last remaining ISIS hub in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour province.
On Saturday evening, the Syrian Army secured the main road between Deir Ez Zour and Aleppo, following intense clashes with ISIS terrorists.
The units of the Syrian Army stormed from the axis of the villages of Ayyash and Baghiliyeh, located in the western countryside of Deir Ez Zour province, and eventually met with their fellow units in the countryside of Ma’adan, a key strategic town and a local ISIS hub which was yesterday liberated by the Army.
Thanks to the Russian aerial support, the Army also managed to expand its control on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, reclaiming the villages of Mazlum, Khasham, Marat and Sabha in the northern countryside of Deir Ez Zour.
According to the field reports, the Syrian Army has managed to liberate more than 50 villages, in addition to a number of farms and hills in the countrysides of Raqqah and Deir Ez Zour provinces, over the past two weeks.
