Al least three European airlines have decided to change their routes linking Japan with Europe, in the wake of the repeated North Korean missile tests, the Japanese broadcaster NHK said on Friday.
The flights of Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines and SAS from Europe to Tokyo and other Japanese destinations will no longer fly over the Sea of Japan due to increased number of missiles that recently flew over.
Instead, their flights will be re-routed towards the northeastern shores of Japan. According to all three companies, this will not significantly affect flight times.
