SANA’A, Yemen. Yemeni Houthi rebels said all the capital cities of the countries that are members of the Saudi-led Arab coalition, are legitimate targets of their missiles and naval force, calling on these countries to take these threats seriously.
“The more they are suffocating and tightening the belt around the Yemeni people, the greater the chances that we will strike at those who conduct the aggression or are its staunch supporters. All the capital cities of the Saudi-led coalition states are considered legitimate targets in terms of our self-defense”, a member of the political council of Ansar Allah (the official political movement of the Houthi rebels), Dhaif-Allah Al Shami, said in an interview with the Russian news agency Sputnik.
“Our missiles and naval force units are absolutely capable to respond to whatever that comes against us. This must be taken seriously by the countries who are participating in the coalition that is trying to cease our existence. Yemenis are moving forward with one vision and one perspective in mind and will not allow themselves to starve out without hurting their aggressors”, he added.
Al Shami noted that cities such as Abu Dhabi and Dubai are really not that far away and could easily get targeted.
“All countries that are participating in the aggression are legitimate targets of the Yemeni Resistance. They have no right to impose their will on us, interfere in our affairs or attack us with their jets and missiles. Our country and people are constantly being bombed and we will not tolerate that”, he said.
