DEIR EZZOR, Syria - The US-backed and Kurdish-led Deir Ezzor Military Council has threatened to attack the Syrian Army in Syria's eastern Deir Ezzor province if attacked.
“We will respond aggressively to any attacks conducted by the Syrian regime in eastern Deir Ezzor,” the Deir Ezzor Military Council of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stated on Wednesday evening according to Al-Masdar News.
This comes as both the SDF and Syrian Army are conducting operations against ISIS in Deir Ezzor's countryside.
An agreement drafted by the United States and Russia has so far prevented major clashes occurring between the two anti-ISIS forces.
