The Iraqi army has completely liberated Mosul University from ISIS, as broadcast by television channel "Al-Mayadin".
According to their report, the military combed and cleared the whole area of ISIS including a network of tunnels.
The university is strategically important for the advance of troops into the western part of the city, which remains fully in the hands of terrorists. There has been fighting in the area for the last two days.
The operation to liberate Mosul in northern Iraq from ISIS is ongoing since October 2016.
