Nine days after the tragic murder of legendary figure "Givi" (Real name Mikhail Tolstoy), a successor to the leadership of famed DPR battalion "Somali" has been appointed as reported by RusVesna.

Fellow brothers in arms state that tenacity and courageousness were intrinsic to Givi's character. Givi played an intrinsic part in the liberation and protection of Ilovyask, Donetsk Airport, Debaltsevo, and Yasinovataya most prominently.

The central leadership of the armed forces of the DPR has appointed Igor Voltchkov (pictures above with rifle), known by nom de gurre "Son", as the successor to Givi. Voltchkov served as Deputy Chief of Staff of Somali battalion.

The people of the Donbass region have faith that Voltchkov will bring further honor and and prestige upon both Somali Battalion and the memory of Givi in the continuing struggle to protect the liberty and ideals of those fighting against the oppressive forces of the Kiev Junta, who threaten to overwhelm the peaceful separatists in their opposition to tyranny.
