Governor of Nikolaev region says the region is 65% separatist.

The head of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration Alexei Savchenko on the occasion of the termination of powers of the deputies wrote a speech in which he called the area "65% separatist."

It was published in the closed parliamentary group BPP [Bloc Petro Poroshenko -- tr].

In his statement Savchenko describes the conditions in which he has to work, and claims that 65% of the population are "latent separatists."

"Today, I run one of the most important and problematic areas of our state. In it, 65% are latent separatists, and the majority of the population speaks in Russian. The Nikolaev region has always voted for the Party of Regions, and then - for the opposition bloc. Even Kherson is more pro-Ukrainian! " said Savchenko.

According to him, this situation has arisen as a result of total industrial ruin: many large companies have gone bankrupt, business is in decline, the infrastructure is destroyed.

At the same time Savchenko said that will do everything possible to rectify the situation in the region.
