Russian Senator Aleksey Pushkov believes it necessary to temporarily exclude Ukraine from the UN as long as it continues to shell Donetsk.

Earlier, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Pavel Klimkin, proposed depriving Russia of its veto right in the UN Security Council. In addition, he groundlessly accused Russia of fomenting conflicts in Europe.

“Klimkin’s sublte idea of depriving Russia of its veto is impossible. It is Ukraine that should be temporarily excluded from the UN as long as Donetsk is being shelled,” Pushkov wrote on his Twitter.

Pushkov’s comment on the shelling of Donbass comes on the heels of the planned withdrawal of heavy weapons from the contact line set for February 21st which was not complied with by the Ukrainian side. Moreover, the Secretary General of the OSCE, whose representatives have repeatedly covered up the crimes of Ukrainian troops, warned of a possible escalation of the conflict in Donbass.
