The leader of Ukraine’s Fatherland Party, Yuliya Tymoshenko, stated live on the program "Freedom of Speech" on Ukrainian TV channel “ICTV” that US President Donald Trump perfectly understands what is happening in Donbass.
“The US President absolutely clearly understands what is happening here and has assured full support for Ukraine,” Tymoshenko stated, describing her informal meeting with the American leader in Washington.
Tymoshenko also claimed that she met with representatives of the White House, from whom she requested military aid for Kiev. She did not specify, however, whether she received a response.
Previously, however, Trump stated in a Fox News interview that the US does not know exactly what is happening in Eastern Ukraine and needs to look into the issue.
